Company dancers
ages 8+ (audition required)
Our Company dancers audition each year in a 2-day audition process that takes place at the end of August each season. Three combinations (Lyrical, Jazz & Tap) will be taught on the first day, and then dancers are given a time to return on the second day with a small group of dancers to audition the combinations they learned in front of our judges panel. If dancers audition and aren’t placed in a company, no worries! All dancers are welcome at Spotlight, and we will make sure to place them in an age equivalent recreational class that will make sure to keep pushing them to achieve their goal of becoming a Spotlight Company dancer in the future! Dancers selected for one of our 3 elite companies will dance twice a week as a team and take all technique and choreography classes together. Company dancers can also look forward to competitions, dance conventions & guest instructors.

Red, White & Blue Company
At Spotlight, we have 3 amazing elite dance companies. Dancers can start auditioning at 8 years old with our Blue Company, then White Company and finally to our highest level, Red Company. Company Auditions for our 2025- 2026 season are on August 23rd & 24th.
Dance Competitions
All company dancers compete regionally in group routines with their teams. They also have the opportunity to be selected to compete solos, duos, trios and small groups. Our Company dancers have also competed Nationally, with the most recent National competition in August of 2023! We also have an elite Hip Hop team, Funkdafied, that dancers in our Red & White Company can audition for, and an elite Tap team, Tapestry, that is handpicked from our advanced tappers. Other competitive teams include our Mini Team, Junior Team, Elite Team & Adagio!

Each company dances together twice a week as a team. All company dancers take classes in Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Tap & Hip Hop.
